But I found a couple of them, one as prominent as yours and a few not as prominent. Also, GOD was doubled and PLURIBUS was doubled somewhat as well. The last 99 was doubled too. Is this Machine Doubling or something else? Mustang, let's wait until the doubling dudes get on to answer. BTW, Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/08/2011 8:33 pm The composition of the nickel is the part of the clue. 75% copper 25% Nickel. The nickel in the planchets cause the dies to wear faster. Usually on the outside devices that flow toward the rim. This to me appears to be Machine Doubling if other devices are showing the same die movement during the strike. Other images might help in the determination of which. But the end result is the same.
