RollHunter Pillar of the Community United States 687 Posts	Posted 05/22/2011 11:55 pm This one I bought for $2 over melt when silver was ~ $20oz at a local coin show. In the not so great show-light I thought this one was MS, but it looks like there's too much rub on the eagle's breast and on liberty's cheek for that. AU55/58 maybe? Obviously the ugly scuffs on the fields of the obverse detract from the value, but there's a lot of cool die cracks on the reverse! I'm a terrible grader so I'd love to hear all your opinions. SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 05/23/2011 12:14 am Tough call, but I'm inclined to believe it's Mint State. 1921's are a different hub entirely - strike quality varies widely from "not so hot" to "simply terrible" - and I think the cheek is explained by the same incident that left the scuffs in the fields. I have seen some MS-60's that were pretty bad looking and even though this one has some pretty bad scratches on the cheek and field in front of the cheek I still think it is in better than most MS-60's I have seen Report this Post to the Staff
