I don't put "MY" mark on the coin. I just mark the coin where the error or variety should be so if I do get it back, I don't waste time putting it under the microscope again. This should be an advantage to roll searchers. I just mark that it's been checked. Plus a little acetone will take it off. And I won't mark a coin that has any value. Like I found one yesterday. A 2001P Kennedy that is NIFC had someones mark. It's a common one, but it still is a NIFC.

2001 is NOT NIFC. 2002+ and 1987.

Sounds like a good idea for your website murry. Only problem is I don't know how many boxes of cents I've searched! I think it's 10-12.

2001D isn't but 2001P is, like I stated. Check your Red Book.

Will there be a place for users to comment on coins (like the photos) that are posted in the site, or will we have to upload them to coin community in order to comment on our finds? P.S. I can hardly contain myself over this idea!

We'll have to see. She could probably make that happen. And once the site is up, we will be open to suggestions about what people like and don't like about the site.

I'm going to try to get her to finish because it is relatively near.... But she just started her new job working from like 8:30 am to 5 pm, and on top of that she is taking 7 classes at college this year. She is pretty from sunrise to sundown :/

I know, me too! That's why I got her to make it! And I'm excited to use it so I kind of want to bug her to finish, but at the same time I know she has an aweful lot on her plate right now.

One thing I just thought of. I made a spreadsheet of my nickel roll search finds and organized it from least amount minted to most amount minted. Obviously it is not in numerical order, but it helps paint the picture of the 'rarity' of the nickels I found. Do you think it would be cool to have the website display the coins in this fashion, or just have an option to display it as such?

And, did the above paragraph make any sense whatsover?

I'd like to have access to that data in whatever format you choose. Id also like to see number of coins searched.

I have a question. :)

Will the site be for US coins only or will it have a option for Canadian or other currency as well? I live in a US/Canada border town (Canadian Side) and get a fair amount of Us currency in the boxes I search. I have a decent size US cent collection started but the majority of the mine are Canadian. I'm just curious and if it is US coinage only I completely understand. :)

Right now it is just U.S. coinage, I dont know much about other currencies and it would take forever if I kept adding other currencies. Maybe in the future we could add canada, but right now it is just the U.S.

lol, I was hoping this thread would be forgotten but it seems you're just as excited as I am. Currently, my wife really really wants to finish it more than anything right now, and a large portion of it is complete already. However she has hardly any time. She works full time and on top of that she is taking 7 classes in college right now. Lot of stress and time consuming right there. And in her spare time she has to go take care of her grandpa who is 90 and lives on his own and just lost his license. Yes I am really bummed that it is not finished yet but I can't blame her with how busy she is. But she really does want to finish it and I'm sure when winter break hits she will be able to almost finish it, if not finish it completely. Sorry to have gotten your hopes up and then dragged it out so long. However, it will eventually be completed.
