i have one thats probably hard to see b.c of verdigris. but it looks like something is on the bottom left of the S also whats that breaking away from the top part of the 9?
If you have some mineral oil you could bathe this coin to remove the excess debrie around the devices. But from what I'm seeing is that the ( looks like it took a hit years ago making the damaged edge to expand past the edge of the normal 9. It also looks like the mint mark was also damaged at that time on the top 1/2 of the S. Bottom edge hard to see. But after a mineral bathe and a light brushing with an old worn out tooth brush, you might see more what is going on with your coin. (This process only works on circulated coins. On BU/Proof coins this will scratch then and ruin their value. Carbon spots/freckles/stains/verdigres will not be removed with mineral coin. Damage from the afore mentioned is on the coin and coonot be removed without further damage to the coin. But it does work on removing debrie. AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS ON BU/PROOF COINS. IT WILL DAMAGE THEM.
That is why you bathe in mineral oil. It won't hurt the value. Using a acid cleaner would affect them, but mineral oil won't hurt it. It won't remove stains/carbon spots. Just remove the debris aound the devices.
