Hello,

Firstly, please determine the correct mint mark here then proceed with the grade.

Thanks much

It looks like a "D"

Perhaps a Post Mint Damage Mint Mark?

Full rims = Full Good.

That's a funny looking one. From the big pic it looks like S and from the small pic it looks like D, but I would go with S for sure.

I grade it at G-4, you can barely read the date and there is no horn visible

In the teens, D mint, just makes a G-4.
Mdp, why do you call the coin a '15?

It looks like it has a "D" mintmark. I would say that this has G-4 details/scratched.

Tam,

I do not understand your question and do not see where I ever called this coin '15.

Maybe I'm missing something here. Please elaborate.

I believe the question is in reference to your title... (1915-S or D ? Buffalo nickel grade)

looks like a 1915S to me BTW

Let me muddy up the water a little bit. How about a 1915-S (Repunched mintmark) FS-05-1915S-502? The placement of the mintmark certainly fits as do some of the other landmarks. Too bad it's not a higher grade.

I deffenitly see the 15.
My guess is an S. Due to the left side of the mm.
GRADE g-4 (only a few letters merge with the rim)
