Mr T Pillar of the Community Australia 2139 Posts	Posted 08/02/2011 02:55 am I saw on the news (Channel 9) last Thursday a story about an upcoming auction where one of the items was a $100 note with the portrait of Dame Nellie Melba which was blue instead of black. Anyone know anything about this variety? I've searched but couldn't find anything about the variety or the auction. agandau Valued Member Australia 193 Posts	Posted 08/02/2011 04:19 am Seem to recall her image comes in a few shades from blue-grey to dark-grey. Perhaps the ink is mixed on site which could explain slight variations in colour. Haven't seen a very blue one though. Wish I saw more of them. Report this Post to the Staff

I could be wrong, but I think the reporter describe it as unique too.
