XF40. The light colored background may have made the coin lighter than in hand. I will say, looks original.

The background wasn't my concern, it was the spots on the reverse. It appears that there may have been marks/debris that was removed revealing the CuNi coloring.

Hmmm. I see what you mean David.
I think it's just surface discoloration from the pic. Just my opinion. A loupe would tell more
