Nice original chocolate brown color John! That is a beautiful coin. This is the quality I will be looking for when I am ready for the 1909-S for my Dansco. I won't state the grade given on this one ;-) I have another opinion

I would say a strong VG10 A couple letters missing in the headband to enter the F range. Oh I would be so happy with that one!

I think it needs a little stronger Liberty to get F, so I'm going with strong VG10.

I would go with F-12. I think all the letters in 'Liberty' are visible but not legible ( although difficult to tell because of the glare in the photo) and the lower edge of the headband is incomplete.

I'm gonna say VG-10 for liberty and the feathers.

Slabbed? I suspect LIBERTY is partially obscured by the plastic. If LIBERTY is complete, I'm going to say F15--nice one!

NGC also said F-12! Looks like the forum average again. Good job!
