Nothing big but I always read people finding wheats in pocket change or just in random places.

Well it finally happen to me. Went to a gas station and got $2.63 back and look at the coins and I got a 1950 D in my hands.

But yea I feel like I can be apart of that club now HAHA!

It's amazing how many wheats are still out there. You're more apt to find one of those than a silver coin, IMHO.

I still get an occasional wheat in change. That doesn't surprise me as I expect to get a few each year. I even get silver dimes but that is really rare. The one coin that really came as a surprise was a Buffalo nickle. That was just one time last summer and I thought that was sweet.

About a year ago I came home and as usual dumped all my change in a change drawer. Doing this I noticed several Wheat Cents and went nuts wondering where I got those. Imagine if a store had a drawer full of them.

Last week I got a 1952 wheat in my change. Pretty rare given that I am in Canada, but we do see a fair bit of US change in both rolls and standard store change.
