After this purchase, I'm only missing the 1916-D (which I wasn't really expecting to pick up, but after some recent posts on here of some excellent pickups...).

The photos are accurate. I didn't notice the ding on the reverse (5:00) until I got it in hand, but it is in the photos. I liked it because the mintmark wasn't lost in the rim wear and the date was still mostly intact.

How do you think I did for $47.05?

I actually picked up the 21d at the same time I bought the 16d on saturday! I think yours is in a touch better condition and I paid $45, can't actually remember what it looks like because I've been looking at the 16d so much! Who would've thought a 21d could be an after thought? My wife has our camera, so I cant take a pic tonight, but i'll take one tomorrow so you can compare. I hope its a good price because mines almost identical condition to yours..

Pardon the unabashed promotion, but I have both of the 21's up for bid on ebay as we type. 21P-VF, 21D-VG. Free shipping for CCF members if anyone's interested. I want to give the pair a good home. The 16D sold over the weekend. Paleoguy45

Some really great prices on a coin so much in demand.
Imagine that you now have a coin that had only a bit over 1 million made. Now think of this. Over 300,000,000 people in the USA.

I got really lucky and picked up my 21 and 21-D in a "partial set" I bought on ebay last year. Paid 169.00 for the partial set, nabbed the 21's and re-sold the set for 169.00. My only investment was the seller fees for re-selling the rest of the dimes. I wish now that I'd have kept the rest of them. Both are about the same grade as the OPs coin.

Still keeping an eye out for that 16-D.

Values at 55 in AG, so good pick up. That and the 16D are the only two my wife needs to finish her book.
