I have attached a photo of a 1977 Quarter with what appears to be (to this novice)bubbles on the surface. The photo may not be the greatest but I would sure appreciate anyone willing to take a look and give me some feedback.

More than likely, this coin was subjected to a high heat source (propane torch or something similar), this will cause that type of bubbling.

Unfortunately, your coin has been in a fire. High heat can cause internal separation of the clad layers, leading to the formation of large bubbles.
