Every time I try to add supplemental lighting it either reflects off the coin or my camera makes the pictures appear yellow. Report this Post to the Staff
IndianGoldEagle Bedrock of the Community United States 37242 Posts	Posted 06/28/2012 12:18 pm The yellow is from the type of bulb used in the light. Soft white light bulbs give the yellow tint and is hard to edit out. Learned that one the hard way. I have switched to daylight bulbs to get the white look. Report this Post to the Staff
Mechman Valued Member United States 275 Posts	Posted 06/28/2012 12:52 pm Try using a diffuser. Some use a plastic milk jug others a piece of white paper made into a loop and surround the coin. It will cut the glare of the light source. There are lots of good ideas in the photo section of this site. Try different things until you find the ones that work. Report this Post to the Staff

trdhrdr007 Pillar of the Community United States 2335 Posts	Posted 06/28/2012 3:16 pm I've tried a diffuser, daylight bulbs & LED's. I still seem to end up with the yellow tint on my photos. My problem might be that I get frustrated & quit before I find the right combination. Report this Post to the Staff
