Dear All,

Can someone please help me in identifying this arabic coin? I was told that this is from early ages of Islam, probbaly 1000 years back, but I really doubt if so is the case.

HI,

You'd be right to doubt it. This is a much more recent "temple token" which tries to ape silver coins of much more ancient design.

Good silver temple tokens of this genre can be had for $10 to $30.
