Hi everyone, I bought this coin way back in 2000 from a very reputable dealer. He claimed that this coin was actually AU but that it was a horribly weak strike. Any thoughts?

I would agree with his assessment this coin looks to be AU-55 or so

I would agree with him. I am thinking it's around a AU-55/58 with a soft strike.
