Tell why you are proud of your stack without using the following words: DOLLARS (except to refer to actual denominations of coins) OUNCES I will start: I am proud of my stack because I love US 90% silver coins, >50% is in halves, very few slicks, 4 types of halves, 4 types of quarters (yes, a seated liberty), 3 kinds of dimes, , For variety's sake I also have a few Peace and Morgan dollars, a little Canadian 80% and sterling, a little Australian 80% and sterling, as well as a bit of.999 from 4 countries, US, Canada, Mexico, Austria

Well my stack isn't a lot but the thing I like the most is that I got most of my 90% from my great grandpa. I've started working on an half collection so I'm slowly growing that.

I like silver, I like gold, but hope to sell, before I get too old!

My stack is relatively large and the hue it creates is mainly proofy-bright argentum. It took me five and a half years to amass it. It's made up of probably 70% coins, with the remainder in decidedly inorganic matter like art bars and rounds.

Like traevin, I'm pleased that I've somehow managed to stick with, and continue to find pleasure in, building my coin collection in spite of the unforgiving nature of the PM market.
And my collection is perpetually asymmetrical... every time I think I need "just one more coin and I'm done(TM)" I find something else to buy.

CW,
Ha, I was just writing a poor excuse for a Haiku. The only thing about my stack that's symmetrical is it's stacking ability. My collection couldn't be anymore bipolar if I let Charles Manson an Kurt Cobain assemble it.

Nice use of capitals, Celtic Knot. Lots of fun creative answers Oh yes I am proud of my stack because sometimes I find something numismatic like an 1882-O Morgan that looks MS63 for the price of a 1921 Other times I miss. That is why I have 2 well worn 1918-D dimes lol

traevin said Quote: My collection couldn't be anymore bipolar if I let Charles Manson an Kurt Cobain assemble it. Heh! There's a vast difference between Manson and Cobain (and I have a much more favorable opinion of Cobain). However, if anyone on Earth can do "crayon" decorated coins it's the RCM!

my stack consists of about 30oz bullion, like ASE, maple, 10 oz kookas. The rest are semi-numiz and numiz, i.e. proof, BUs, low mintage, etc.

Those are the only kind to have, B. I love your collection. Probably top 5 on the site, IMO. Actually, I'm a little jealous because of the prices you get. They boggle the mind.

T., some prices I get are pretty good while others are average market price, that's why I have to trade in order to keep my cost average at current spot, i.e. all my silver numiz and semi-numiz cost me spot price. But this is fun thing to do. BTW, as soon as you mentioned top 5 collection on site, I'd say you have top 3, or even the best and most diverse collection ;). I'm incomparable as I joined semi-numiz/numiz way of stacking just 1.5 years ago while you've been longer ))
