Hi,

First time on this forum & a big fan of Engelhard & its history. I orginally purchased this bar 2 yrs ago. At first, I though it was a generic bar. After looking at it closely, I realized the "E" might be an Engelhard bar. A quick google search confirmed that this was indeed an Engelhard. First I would like to know how rare this Engelhard bar is. Second, what is the value? I would like to sell it. ebay is an option, but the 13% fees eat too much into the profits. Any info & advice about this bar will be much appreciated in advanced.

I am providing a link since I am unable to upload pictures at this time.

If your bar is genuine it is quite valuable. The linked website is a good one and describes the bar as very rare. As such I am sure we're talking 4 figures in USD. ebay is one of the few places to obtain maximum exposure/return on such a piece. There are other dedicated precious metals forums with regular posters who have vast experience in this field so I will keep my comments short. I could only toss out a $2,000 retail guesstimate for such a piece and it might be worth a lot more.
