Hey All, so I recently started metal detecting with my fathers Whites detector. To be honest it's definitely much too advanced for me! I don't remember exactly which model he has but I know he paid over $1600 for it.

I'm still learning how to use it when I visit him in Delaware.
He lives in Millsboro. Does anyone know of any good areas down that way that are good for "hunting" other than the beaches?
Any older historical areas down that way?

Thanks,
MFPoe

delaware is quite old so you should be able to find some nice spots. I'm not from there, but you may be able to look up old maps of a certain area that can help you out. for example, look up map of (town) delaware in (year). good luck!

Be careful of 'historical' spots. Personally I avoid them as I enjoy staying out of trouble, and avoiding possible confiscation of detector, vehicle and even jail time.

The best hunting spots apply to all areas.

The first places I look for in a town are the old ball diamonds, train depots, and fairgrounds. These spots have been the best producers of old coins and relics, that I have found. Next are parks on the lake, and private yards. Hope this helps.
