Despite the seller's inability to distinguish between the numbers "III" and "IV", I will say at least there are some decent pics, including of the edge, but otherwise what to make of this? At 13.8 grams it's absurdly light. Modern reproduction?
Two non paying bidders in a row? People buying on fakes to leave a bad review, I guess. Of course, you can get rid of those so he's still on 100% positive.
Let me say I had no doubt when posting that this was a fake of some sort. That's obvious. My question, had I framed it more succinctly, is what sort of fake is it? That weight seems unlikely to jive with a contemporary counterfeit, but who knows? Ideally, somebody will know exactly what this is, where it came from, and when and for what purpose it was made.
