I've had this coin in my collection for a while but never been able to find much about it, I was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on it.

What is on the other side, what is the weight and what is the size? You need to give us as much information as possible, as there are no numbers or letters here.

Is this a very small coin? It has a nice Portcullis, which is the inner door to a castle, which was used on small denomination Elizabethan coins.

Hi JC,
What you have is a silver halfpenny of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). Mintmark '0' indicates it was struck in 1600.
As these go its in nice condition, well struck and a fully round flan. I'd estimate value at around £75 retail.
