1820 British Shilling Contemporary Counterfeit?

BigSilver Pillar of the Community United States 2843 Posts	Posted 11/26/2016 8:05 pm So here is the story. I bought a large lot of coins off of a long time collector. I dont usually deal with old British coins. I saw this one copper coin with the date 1820. I assumed it was a farthing. Thwn I looked online and foind that in 1820 there were no farthings. I noticed that the design is that of the shilling and the diameter is as well (24 mm). It weighs 4.4 grams - underweight for a shilling. I suspect that it is a counterfeit shilling. What say you?
