I bought 30 Morgan silver dollars for $16.50 each. Is that a good deal? If it is, think I should pick up some more? Some them are culls, but others look to be in decent shape. I'll post some pics when I get them in the mail.

That's an outstanding deal, culls or not.

I think it's a very good deal and I'd be interested if you picked up some more to list on CCF!

I haven't gone to any coin shops but we do have a pretty big flea market with a few booths of coins. One guy had a junk bin of Morgans for $28 each. I passed.

As of today's silver prices cull Morgans are $13.13. Unless you have a reason to collect culls or very worn Morgans I don't see the advantage of buying for that price per each!

I don't mind paying that price at all - seeing that someone paid me almost $17.50 for a beat up, worn, scratched, and probably cleaned common date Peace dollar.

Alternatively... you could share your source with us! The cheapest I've seen near me is still $20 each for junk Morgans and Peace dollars. It also depends how bad the culls are. Can you share pics?

With bulk buying, VAM's seems to be a good little bonus with these, if you happen to be lucky enough.

The obvious next step is to learn whatever you can with VAM's.

Well, the guy is about out, and I think he has saved most of them for me, because I am picking up another batch.
Rest in Peace

Really not a bad gamble if you pick up a few VG or F pieces in the mix.

Well, among the coins was a 1904 S and some nice VF coins. Also, I just bought another cull for $18. It was a 1889 S!
