1995 P Dime Error - But What Kind? - Coin Community Forum

showmethemoney1 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 04/28/2017 02:04 am Hello everyone! First time here on the forums and pretty much a newbie to the collector Coin World. But I hope to learn as I go from the pro's here :) What brings me here, is I'm doing some research on a coin my friend has. It is a 1995 P Dime which in all honesty appears to be printed on a Penny. I also was told that it could be just the core of the dime coming out. ( I know there is proper terminology for these things, sorry lol ) would you all take a look at this and give me some feedback please? I know the coin needs to be graded at some point if its anything special, but I just would like to know what it is. Thanks in advance. Report this Post to the Staff

showmethemoney1 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 04/28/2017 05:08 am Thanks for the Welcomes :) . Never heard of a Dryer Coin but that is very well possible. Spruett001 - I thought it was printed on a penny because of the copper looking edge. It is thicker like a penny ( haven't measured thickness ) and since the silver is so uniform up to the edge looks kind of like it was made that way. But like I said I don't know much about coins and mint errors etc. So basically if it is a Dryer Coin, it is basically just a damaged coin and not worth anything? or does people collect Dryer Coins as well ?
