1838 N-11 Late Die State Large Cent (N-13) Will This "grade Out" At NGC

roach Valued Member United States 364 Posts	Posted 08/16/2017 2:49 pm Hi all, Just got in this 1838 Large Cent n-11 LDS with the Cud. It appears to be Very Near MS but has a bit of crud in the crevices and a small amount of green stuff on the obverse. Any ideas on whether this would grade as a "no problem" coin at NGC? It is a rarer Variety being LDS (the old n-13) so may be worth a pretty penny. Pardon the pun :) Report this Post to the Staff

moxking Rest in Peace United States 17900 Posts	Posted 08/17/2017 07:30 am A definite candidate for a pure acetone bath. I'm guessing a soak would loosen the crud and possibly remove the green. As is would detail. Since it is a scarce variety you might consider submitting this to NGC conservation prior to submission for grading. Report this Post to the Staff
