I have a medallion/coin/token. Not sure what it is. Might be Yugoslavian. Maybe Mongolian? Maybe from Uzbekistan? I can't pinpoint exactly where. I've found similar letters in each alphabet but can't seem to narrow down the specific language. I think its written in Cyrillic, but I'm unsure. I don't have much knowledge in this field. I've searched for quite a while. Doing this for a friend. He bought it 6 years ago in Kandahar. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you for your efforts. I'm glad to know someone had some progress. I was thinking Mongolia earlier, however I am with oriole. I don't see the connection. Any idea how old it might be? Or what it is exactly?
Per the book of Leviticus, a two rams were required for atonement. One was sacrificed and one was the scapegoat -- sent into the wilderness carrying the sins to the demons.
Not sure which ram your token has. But the ancients believed that the earth was the center of the universe and talk of life on other planets was sinful.
So...maybe the Mongolians were making an attempt at atonement for the sinful USA. Perhaps by selling tokens.
