Guessing low EF with that sort of vertical crease. Richmond district, fairly common, maybe $100+.

Schwartz and Lindquist guide lists it at $80 in VF and $500 in UNC. Your note appears to be XF, so maybe in the $100 dollar range.. less than $200.

Here's a similar circulated example, with a somewhat higher grade. Paid about $180 for it and don't consider it one of my triumphs.  |

Is that a lgs you have, Coinfrog? The Paper Money Values Guide, which I use, has the $20 1934A E* at $75 in VF. The OP's sample appears to be high VF, no problems, but multiple creases and some toning setting in. A nice, unusual bill to have. No doubt, if the OP were to sell on ebay, he could list this at $150. |

It's a dgs (I think all 1934A $20s are), but it's a good example of how confusing some of the light/dark designations can be. I have TPG notes designated lgs that are no lighter or yellower than this. Yes, this might be worth $150 to someone looking for one. |
