When it rains, it pours... I was tearing apart 1976 specimen sets to get a nice nickel dollar for my PCGS Registry, when this one just popped out at me... Maybe the chrome-plated dies were conducive to creating this phenomena?

hmmm...it will be interesting to see if we start to find these on many different years worth of are they still an isolated phenomenon. very cool. I have the traditional 1953 5 cent with trail dies but that's it so far.
