Hi everyone. I'm Joe from Minnesota.

I'm going to be straight-up honest--I've been out of the collecting game for quite a while. I was obsessed when I was much younger (early through mid-teens) but have since forgotten about it. Recently, however, I undusted an old box in my parent's basement and found my collection. Its a fun feeling. I am here really for one reason, but first I want to post here to make sure I can do what I want to do and how I should go about it. I have a lot of coins. For some, I still know what they are and what is collectible about them, but there are a lot here that I have NO idea about. I have a bunch from around the world, and most if not all are dated sometime in the 20th century. I have been trying to research them, but it turns out it takes a lot of time, especially since so many are old and from around the world. I really don't have the time to research these like I should, but I really want to know about them. So, here is my question: (1) would it be appropriate for me to post pictures of my collection here to tap into the collective knowledge of this community (as people desire, of course); and (2) if so, where would the appropriate forum/discussion be?

Thanks in advance!

to CCF, Joe. Absolutely post pictures. There's a lot of knowledge on this site. The World Coin Forum sounds like the best bet for you start putting pics up in. But if you're wrong, don't worry. The moderators can move your topics to where they are best suited. If you don't already know about it, there's a great site called Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php. Numista's search function is very user friendly and can make researching your coins much easier.

Hey Joe,

owatchman is absolutely correct. Numista is a great site, and you'll receive lots of knowledgable feedback about your coins here at CCF.

Also, as a fellow new member, I can say that everyone here has been very helpful!
And, I look forward to seeing what you post.
