Uncirculated 2019-P Shield Penny Die Crack Error?

Anyway I've got a question about a Lincoln shield penny. In Lincoln's hair at the top there is a blob of extra metal with what appears to be crack lines emanating from either side of the blob. Is this considered to be a die crack? I've included two picks showing the error with one were I've highlighted the actual error. Thanks Macgrimm Report this Post to the Staff

Macgrimm New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 01/27/2020 10:42 pm Thanks for your quick replays. I guess more information might help. I purchased a full $25 box from my local bank. This error (for lack of better description right now) is not the only one I've found but rather, I picked rolls from 6 different locations in the box and each roll was the same in that there seemed to be a pattern that repeated within each roll. There were normal cents, cents with large Cud's as I have provided in picture, smaller Cud's in the same general area, multiple small Cud's in same area and others. As I unrolled each of the 6 rolls I noticed the same repeating pattern. So far from the 6 rolls I have filled 2/3 of one plastic quarter tube with the large error type and 1-1/2 tubes of the smaller type. If this IS caused by stretching would I have repeating issues in each roll? Would the box seem to have these errors throughout? Are these considered collectible? Should I send one out to be graded? Greasy Fingers Pillar of the Community United States 7152 Posts	Posted 01/27/2020 10:54 pm to CCF "considered collectible"= collect what you like or find interesting, I don't think there is a large field of collectors for this mint "die state" error "have it graded"= not off this "error" alone, maybe if you feel it would receive a MS-69 or 70 grade "put them in circulation"= keep a few large ones if you like, spend the rest Good luck on future finds, have fun...
