Hi! I am very new to coin collecting, but very uneducated about it all. My husband used to collect coins in his previous life, but put it on the back burner when his first marriage ended, but we found out we both enjoy coins and the search for a 2019-W State Park Quarter got us sucked right in! My daughter is also a novice collector and there is hope for my 12-yo son as well! Very exciting! My husband's collecting mainly consisted of things from places like The Bradford Exchange, and I have yet to see what his actual collection consists of because we still have a lot in storage. However, I did find my 2019-W quarter and I am still looking for the other 4. I am really hoping to find some answers to questions I have, and even though I have done a lot of reading, both online and after purchasing the latest Red Book, it seems like I have more questions than I do answers! Happy to be here!

Welcome I am new herein also. I collect only graded materials such as slabbed coins and encapsulated banknotes since I lack the skills to grade coins or banknotes myself.

I live in a modern city but lack the ability / connections to learn to grade stuff since I lack other collectors me.

Thus I buy graded so I can prove its authentic and graded impartially by the TPG PCGS / PMG / Anacs / NGC etc.

I only buy from the four top tier grading companies thus my collection is protected and proven.

I only buy gold coins graded 70 ( worldwide ) in 1/10 to 1/4 oz .9999 gold and banknotes graded 67-70 , but usually settle for a 68 grading...

The State Quarters were/ are almost the best only eclipsed by the national parks and animals ! ! !

I never buy silver since it is always going to tarnish and develop milk spots , and platinum; it just looks like grey silver.

Truly short or long term nothing beats gold for looks and appeal , the best sizes are 1/10 and 1/4 ounce; I have moved into the quarter ounce as my selling later strategy will be as "artwork".

The size and detail and eye appeal of gem perfect 70 1/4 oz pure gold is sure to find some willing buyers ! ! !

Remember quality holds its value far more than quantity and hope you enjoy your collecting hunts :)
