I would love to buy one, but I can't find one, at a reasonable price.. Please let me know, if you find one available somewhere.

Depends how you define it.

Are you asking monetary value for re-selling/appreciation?

Or buying because you like it, which is pretty subjective since everyone's taste is different.

@silverwolf, Not a MC member? Because it was available for a whole week, off and in stock several times.

Hi MoneyPenney: Yes, I am asking for opinions re: monetary value for re-selling/appreciation primarily. Reason I ask, I did acquire one but it appears to have what I would describe as a small dimple/indent to the left of the Queen's portrait. So, if I return it, I probably won't get another one so am trying to decide whether to keep it or not.

Thanks.

@PePiEe4,

Given the relatively high mintage of 2500 coins and it is the 4th coin in the series, I expect the secondary market to be soft for the coin. That is, you will retain the issue value and maybe get a small premium after all the fees have been taken care off. Just don't expect too much of a premium.

In your case, with the defect you won't even make your money back. There will be lots for sale and the only way you can get rid of it is at a discount. Its your choice, get a refund or a replacement. The Mint often holds some back for returns.

Just received my coin. I guess that because the first set I owned when I was a kid was a 1967 proof set, I have a love for the Alex Colville designed coins. Very nice coin. I know it really doesn't make a big difference for the value, but I received the lowest COA of anything I own with this coin, and I'm very happy. COA number 0005!
