It's also been soldered onto something at one stage; likely it was a button or cufflink. This thread had a similar item; unfortunately, the pic's been deleted. This Thread has a similar, but cruder, piece. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. If that's right, then this piece would have been deliberately made as "imitation coin" jewellery. wetglaswegian Member United States 917 Posts	Posted 01/04/2009 1:49 pm I suspect something sat in the square , was fixed at the solder point and rested again where the O shape is directly in line with the square and solder point.Like a pin clasp.
