Hello, I'm Sally from Queensland, Australia. I am mainly interested in collecting Australian decimal coins but I also look out for anything unusual. I am hoping to learn more about the best ways to look after my collection. I also hope I can make some contributions to the collecting community. Cheers.

-The best thing you can do is to keep active as a collector. All you have to do is check into this forum (or others) & participate. A lot of collectors think that being active means buying but that's often putting the horse before the cart. If you come to truly value your collection, you will want to ID what you have (label them) & develop some collector goals. Once you know what you have (& what you might like to acquire) it's essential to store each coin carefully & in a dry place.
[Sadly, a lot of collectors drift in & out of the hobby, store their coins in damp areas, or in the cheapest flaps or flips with poor vinyl & then wonder why their coins are turning colours - when its too late & damage is done]
