I've been buying and selling on ebay for over 20 years. In the last several days I've had a least ten Buy it Now and Auction listings de-listed for violations of ebay's 'Replica' coin and currency policies.

I am familiar with ebay's ban on the usage of the circulated grades of 1- 58 as well as MS 60 to 70 numerical grades and have always avoided using them!
Opting for descriptive terminolgy such as G+, Choice AU, AU++, Unc., Unc+,etc.

I've had several visits with ebay customer svc and my first call ended with the de-listed coin being re-listed via ebay rep.
Only to be taken down the following day.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Mostly common date Franklins AU+ in grades. One VF 1935 S Walker. An Unc+ 1902 O VAM w/clashed die reverse

I would have to check my 'ended' listings to be sure of the rest.

I suspect its their AI, the reps denied any complaints lodged against me or my listings. Yesterdays rep, indicated I would receive a phone call from their supervisor. Never received the call. And no remedy for curing my listings because I do not have a clue what to correct in them.
All photos include obv., rev.. No numerical grades.

Very frustating

eurekacoin, I cancelled all auctions but three that have bids. So the coins that were de-listed aren't available.
The delisted coins are in my 'ended' auctions folder.

My biggest reason for starting this was to see other sellers have similar issues. I have never had an auction ended by ebay, and I have always enjoyed 100% positive feedback.

I have expierenced one returned coin, a 1918 S Standing Liberty quarter Dollar I thought was choice uncirculated and the buyer felt it was AU 58. No big deal.

Once my anger and frustrations subside, I will try to list them as new listing.

the following is from eBays help page and the only limitation on listing coins I have been able to find.

Listings for graded currency must have been graded by one of our approved companies. Listings for raw currency must follow our policy.
To help our members buy with confidence, there are rules for selling collectible coins and currency on ebay.
What is the policy?
• Listings for graded coins and currency must have been graded by an eBay-approved company such as NGC, PCGS, ANACS, ICG, PMG, or Legacy Currency Grading
• Listings for ungraded coins and currency or raw currency:
Must not include a non-approved grading company, numeric grade or estimated value anywhere in the listing and can't show an image of the item in a graded holder if the image shows a grade
Must include photos of the front and back of the actual item for sale (stock photos are not allowed)
Must have a starting, reserve, or Buy It Now price of less than $2,500
• Listings for current, exchangeable, ungraded currency from any country worldwide cannot exceed $1,000 in value, whether in a single listing or in a combination of multiple listings
Activity that doesn't follow ebay policy could result in a range of actions including for example: administratively ending or canceling listings, hiding or demoting all listings from search results, lowering seller rating, buying or selling restrictions, and account suspension. All fees paid or payable in relation to listings or accounts on which we take any action will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account.

I believe saw discussion on FB about your listings with the number grade spelled out with words instead of numbers for raw coins.

What FB page or group?

I did recently update my descriptions area thinking it might help newer collectors not familiar with older coin terminology. Maybe I'm guilty of trying to skirt around the edges a little bit.

None of the coins are Replicas.

Why in the world would that trigger a malicious response from the AI or upset sellers?

To me it clarifies what the coins potential could be if sent to a TPG. I do understand why there are restrictions using MS60 and above in the description.

I've always preferred terms such as choice VF but is the coin VF25, VF 30 or VF35? What is Unc? To me it would be a 60, Unc+ 61 or 62. Choice Uncirculated is 63.

It's simple, numerical grades and/or values on raw coins are not allowed anywhere in the listing. Haven't been for many years.

I've followed some ebay sellers that sell counterfeits and report them and have seen buyers add feedback mentioning the counterfeit product, only to see the feedback disappear and the dealer keeps plying their wares. Of course, they don't write counterfeit or reproduction in the description so the AI never catches it and they'll refund an unhappy buyer's money so the whole thing goes on. By comparison, your listings are relatively innocuous, but that's the way the cookie crumbles with ebay.
