Disappointing 1999 P Wide AM Cent? - Coin Community Forum

Newherehavingfun Valued Member United States 190 Posts	Posted 08/03/2023 9:17 pm Hi everyone, it's been a while. I am still a novice having fun collecting. I just found this 1999 P Lincoln Cent. Looks like a borderline Wide AM with the FG far off the monument. But it is also damaged. I was excited too, but what do you all think? I apologize, as always, for photo quality. In my experience the space between A'M is the least reliable of the three diagnostic available. It can change (open up) due to die wear. The centering of the A in T'A'T is usually the most consistent pickup point. If the A is centered it's a WAM. If the A is closer to the last T it's a CAM. Easy to see and almost never varies. Semi-obligatory: the old optimizer (which still worked last time I checked, though I'm always afraid that it could just get closed one day because Pixlr is the "official" one now).
