So here's a question. Were they specifically trying to manufacture a counterfeit die clash to sell to collectors? Or were they simply making fake $1 coins, and generated a real clash in the process of minting?

Fake die clashes for ebay just seems like such a tiny market. How much money would you really make relative to the risk?
