Yes the weight is the best way to tell what you have. |

I believe it is 3.13, will double check. Also, the date is larger than normal with the letters messed up on "IN GOD WE TRUST". Will post better photos.

1974 has both Large and Small date varieties. Yours appears to be a large date, of normal weight, bronze Memorial cent with some toning. |

Looks to be a 'film' or residue of dried crud on the lower portion of the obverse.
