to the CCF, Girlinlove! You should have a copy of the Red Book - they are widely available online. It's ok to get one two or three years old - they don't change that much. The best way to find out the current market value of a coin is to check ebay sold listings - not asking prices in current listings. And feel free to post questions in the appropriate topic here on the Forum.

Happy collecting. You need to learn to assess the coin's conditions, then use catalogs/ebay sold items/heritage auctions archives to ascertain the prices. Of course there are many other resources. Keep in mind that actual values will be generally BELOW catalogs Catalogs: For US Red book/dealer grey sheet/NGC coin value: ngccoin.com(resources/price guide: US coins) For world coins Krause catalog available at ngccoin.com(resources/price guide:world coins)

Thank you to all who replied! I have about 38 wheat pennies, multiple of some, just today I found an Indian Head penny from 1900!!! Absolutely amazing! A nickle from 1902, 2 Buffalo nickles, one from 1928 and no date on the other, a Mercury dime from 1923, 3 silver quarters from 1947, 1954 and 1964. They are all super cool but are they worth money? Like a lot of money? That would be awesome but if not I think I'll keep adding to the collection! What do you know of the app coinsnap? Is it good? Reliable? Accurate? I'll explain why I ask if I hear what I need to lol

Nice, Girlinlove! Unfortunately you haven't hit the lottery, but it's a good start to a fine collection. As for Coinsnap, I haven't heard many good things about it. Here's a CCF thread from last year: http://goccf.com/t/441592Oh, and by the way, here are two more web sites that are great aids for numismatists: Numista (information and pictures of just about any coin, bank note or exonumia you'll encounter): https://en.numista.com/PCGS Photograde - a photographic guide to US coin grades: https://www.pcgs.com/photograde

Sorry I forgot to ask.... Is there any Wheat penny worth anything? Other than the steel penny? I've been hearing about the 1955. Any info would be awesome. Thanks
