Does not get any worse than this for fire scaled silver. Silver can absorb oxygen at high temps and conduct the oxygen to the interior of the metal. The oxygen can then bond with the copper atoms causing this deep, black fire scale.

No, reverse is fine. Have a round of VC on it now but will upload image when done.
