Hello is there possible to tell VAM from these photos, is there dirrerence in price and desirability on the o over cc? And I believe this holder to be from early 90s, was the pcgs strict in their grading or lenient

Sometimes Vams can easily be seen with the eyes, other times you need a magnifier. You could go to Vamworld.com. For the 1900 O over CC there is a "sort by O over CC" you can use to try and find yours.

Sadly not mine,
numismedia and pcgs only lists value for o over cc, but I don't know if this value apply to all o over cc variants, sadly pcgs didnt adress the VAM on the slab

PCGS and NGC only label the most popular top Vams, there's thousands of VAM varieties, too many to list. For an extra fee they may label a certain VAM when submitting a coin to grade.

You could join for free Vamworld discussion group, post pics there where more VAM collectors can see it. But they would likely want a close up pic of the mint mark, a clear magnified image if you can.

Thank you living, most helpfull

yes I see that they list

133957 1900-O/CC ( VAM 9)
7268 1900-O/CC ( VAM 7, VAM 7A, VAM 8, VAM 8A, or VAM 10-12)

So looks to be all that is on the list on vamworld, VAM 9 seems to fetch a higher premium then the rest

i have asked the seller of better pics, its a 1000S coin so can't be to carefull

I assume PCGS got it right, it is 0 over CC. But once in a while the grading companies get it wrong. I'd be careful buying this coin unless the seller allows returns on the small chance the coin was misidentified. I can't see much of any CC from the photo.

Here's my O over CC, some circulation wear. It's clashed with letter transfer, top 100. Got it a few years ago on ebay. I was highest bidder, $207. The seller didn't list it as O over CC. I took the close up pics when the coin arrived. There's some bad sellers, fakes on ebay, but sometimes you find good deals.

Sweet one I opted out since seller was unresponsive with pics and I think I see some darker spots and pvc and I couldnt determine what o over cc VAM it was from the pics. It was picked upp from a buyer in the usa washington for 1100 dollars but I suspect there is toll

Great pics and pickup looks to be au?

I can see the variety enough to know they got it right. What are our concerns?

No concerns but there are several variants of the o over cc
And I was trying to figure out the variant before buying since some fetch a premium over the others

Yeah I think mine is AU range. Looking closer there does seem to be something on the right side of O but not much. At first it looked like a dent. I tried to match it on vamworld also for specific variety but didn't see it.

That's looks like a gen 2.1 PCGS holder used Oct-Dec 1989....Google search "pcgs slab history" and you will be directed to their "slab museum"

It went back to the states hopefully to a ccfer, the seller was unresponsive with photos and I didnt get a good feel because of that, it was not a traditional auction so not the same security.
it went for 1100 dollars but I guess the buyer must pay transport and taxes.
Im not to sad, my plan was if I got it cheap sell it and get myself a ms67 1880 or 81
