1978-P Lincoln Memorial Cent 2.54g - Coin Community Forum

Dunlop209 New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted Yesterday 6:58 pm I have found a 1978 (p) LMC and it weighs 2.54grams and is 95% Cu. The best I can come up with is its a LMC struck on a Liberia Cent Planchet. I have not measured it yet, looking for calipers for accuracy. If this is a US cent minted on a foreign planchet is it worth getting graded? Report this Post to the Staff

Rolled thin stock would be the most obvious answer then there is the "foreign planchet" argument that I have no idea if that could happen in 1978. Report this Post to the Staff
