I will collect less, and some items previously affordable are no longer so - I am reluctant to spend over AU$1000 (about US$700) on a single coin, so at current PM prices gold coins are effectively no longer an option for me - but I will still aim to collect as much as I can, on my budget. howell1018 Pillar of the Community United States 713 Posts	Posted 01/13/2026 7:03 pm I will still collect modern gold commemoratives as they are issued (going to be painful this year). I used to stack gold bullion coins (Eagles, Maple Leafs, Philharmonics, and 50 Pesos), but I began when gold was about $1,000 an ounce and ceased when it got up to around $1,800 because I astutely discerned that there was no way it could go much higher than that. Now they're all sitting in a safe deposit box that I visit maybe 3 or 4 times a year in a small room while I repeat to myself, "My precious...." Report this Post to the Staff

I buy when I see a deal that fits my budget. Those deals have slowed in the last few months. But I will keep buying within my budget. I am more focused on completing my collections.
