Subject is available at richarddebruyn.substack.com

Includes information on probable mintage split between the Victorian and Edwardian varieties.
Includes a rudimentary die study of the 1903H 50c.

Here's a small sample from subject.

Interesting article, thank you.
As 50 cent and $1.00 silver Canadian coins are my specialty,
I will certainly look deeper into the website provided.

If you plan on going further into later 50 cent mintages, there was a huge multi-multi year study on Canadian Geo and Liz 50 cents by one of our old gang from the CCRS days. Titled "Canadian 50 cents Major and Minor Die Varieties 1937-1967" it is a very lengthy study that used Hans Zoell's classification legend for "types" of varieties, using his A through Z (19), omitting the G, I, M, N, O, Q & W identification letters. It is 14 pages long with no photos and small print. I do not know if he visits the various coin sites any more, so I don't know if he will chime in. You should get a copy of his material, if possible, to ensure that you have all the info you need before publishing. His references are Zoell's 3rd edition, his 4th edition, Glassford's website and Ken Potter's variety column from various issues of CCN. He has also listed many of his own finds that are not referenced elsewhere.

Thank you all for the positive comments.

I am aware of both a George V and the 1937-1967 50c Studies. The scope of my work primary encompasses pre-1937. I have a similar study to this Edwardian Study pending that encompasses Victorian 10c, 25c and 50c mintages. It will have a similar format but is necessarily much more extensive. I believe it will be of extreme interest, but the reader may have to take an Advil before reading.

I realize that some of my work may be duplication of effort. If I independently come to identical observations or conclusions or have demonstrated with evidence what many believed was probable but not explicitly stated in publications that is beneficial. Today's technology also permits a better presentation of past work in addition to possibly making new discoveries.

For now I only plan to publish one article every two-three weeks. Don't be reluctant to Subscribe because you don't want to be inundated with emails. I can assure you that won't happen.

How can I get a copy of the document described in okiecoiner's note? I collect 50 cent George VI varieties and would like to have a copy. I have some of the Zoell catalogs that I use for reference.
