HI, I believe this is the 1972S-1DO-003? Looks like it has that same bar on the 2. What is happening to the 7 also? Is that a hit that make the top half looks like it has a twist to it? Thanks

Doesn't look like it. You also need to find and match the die markers as well. Everything has to match. https://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln...ie_state=mds

Master Die Doubling is also known for this year and mint. https://doubleddie.com/823839.html Master Die Doubling is very common and has no premium.

Yes - metal movement from a hit. You can see the 9 and top part of the 2 were also flattened from the hit..........

I see absolutely no evidence of a doubled die here but to let you know, it is definitely not a doubled master die either. Below is a pic of yours next to Wexler's example of a doubled master die. They point out the extra material inside of the letters but that is not the easiest way to discern between a regular die and the DMD, all you have to do is look for the slope on the top of the R and the B, if it's there then it's a DMD and you can easily see it on the worst examples.

Yes, very nice -makecents-
Also, when I sent a '72 in for attribution (which WAS a DMD), John sent me this info regarding identifying it as a DMD

"I always look for the die gouge inside the upper S in TRUST to identify this one."
