JstnPwll New Member United States 28 Posts	Posted 08/18/2026 12:22 pm Some have asked about very worn coins and odd wear patterns--these are known as " Dryer Coins". They get stuck in a clothes dryer and become worn out. The photo below illustrates how this large cent probably accumulated its weathering and wear by getting stuck on an early clothes dryer.
