"interspersed" into rolls and bags. Very vague. I mean, there are "rolls" that go to banks all the time.

9 million minted in a month makes me suspect that these are going to be placed in circulation. That isn't an NIFC quantity of coins. Of course, the President has at least 10s of millions of supporters so it could be that they anticipate high demand, but I'm not sure how many of them would be expected to go out of their way and order coins directly from the U.S. mint at a hefty markup from face value.

I will ask again, Will the privy strikes be mixed into US mint purchases only, or also into circulation?

This was posted yesterday on the US Mint website. Interpret as you will, but it looks to me like you have to pay the numismatic fee to get a chance at finding one. Sounds like US Mint purchases only to me.  Of course, bags are searched for gems and the rest get dumped. Mistakes can be made.  |

I ordered a single from a seller, but I would like to get a 4th of July privy just to have. Wasn't really wanting to buy rolls or bags considering there is no guarantee one will be in it. Plus what would I do with all the extras? A few would be ok for any type sets I'd want to put together later down the road but I wouldn't want to mess with trying to sell them individually on ebay and with the premium the Mint charges it wouldn't be wise to put them into circulation. I think it's going to be just the luck of the Mint's waiting room if you'll be able to get any before they sell out now due to everyone else trying to get the privy. I'm sure Rob Finds Treasure will get a bag with 85 privy coins in it  |

1910s_1C, where did you read that they have minted 9 million in one month?
The description of the coin on the Mint's website seems to indicate a NIFC issue and dollar coins haven't had a mintage of more than 3 million in 12 years and 15 years in any circulation numbers.
If the mint and the Federal reserve was to again try to circulate dollar coins, why not advertise that and in fact why not use the Sacagewea as the base coin once again?

The total product limit for both options on the mint website totals 8.75M coins, so including the ones they've dispensed at the ANA convention and reserved for other similar events, 9M isn't an outrageous figure, and not necessarily probative of them being released into circulation. However, that was only one month's production, so if any significant quantities are produced for August or later, the chances of seeing them in circulation increase dramatically. |

The Trump SemiQ Dollar is indeed listed as a circulating coin by the mint. So if we are having circulating dollars again, why not announce this to the public as was done originally for the Sacagewea dollars (now Native American dollars) before they became NIFC? How and why would banks request the dollar coins if there isn't a press release or notification? If we are going to have circulating Dollar coins again, will the Native American dollars be circulating coins beginning in 2027? Will there be a new dollar coin? The lack of information and transparency about this is troubling or at least confusing. |
