Does anyone have insight about the future 2-coin set for this year, are they just going to rebox one of the 2 existing finishes, or would they be proofs?

Has been discussed that it may be a new anti counterfeit effort, similar to the micro engraving the Canadian Mint (and others) have employed. I'll see if I can dig up a visual for you.  That's the best I can do. The mint is keeping this "very close to the vest". They are only referring to the finish as "stunning finishes". It's been slowly leaked for about 9-10 months now, if you keep close attention to it. May be worth subscribing to, because if it ends up being this finish, it may sell out quickly on drop day. My Morgan was left on my front porch last night after I turned in for the night. . .same black plastic bubble bag as the Peace which was delivered to the mailbox yesterday morning.
OGP unaffected in transit; coin is as nice as the examples GLB and Gilly have posted above.
Still "on the fence" re: the two coin proof set [26XS] due in the Fall with a $375 price tag. . .probably a better move to put that $$ into rounds.

I asked the folks at the Philly mint this question and they believe it will be the diamond finish that @Gillly shared above. However, they have not seen one yet, so they were not 100%. They said there is so much going on this year with 250 coins they are never sure until they get it in their stock. |

Received my EU Morgan and Peace yesterday, after sitting in Olathe, KS since thursday...
the Morgan looks great.
The peace is going back, a spot right on Liberty's cheek and some damage on the reverse rim above "states of". Almost looks like someone took a file to the rim.
As TheInfinityPoint said, at this price there should be no issues.

Opened mine today. I like the looks of these much better than the reverse proofs. The pictures shared are wonderful but do not capture the look in hand.
My Morgan will have to go back as it has a mark in her neck. Quality control is extremely poor at the US Mint these days. After my good experience at the mint, I may have to go that route for purchases.

I have the subscription to the 2 coin set hoping for this diamond finish. I keep hearing about it but I haven't seen anything. Got any additional information?
