2009-P Quarter, Puerto Rico, Reed / Edge Error Or PMD?

snailking1 Pillar of the Community United States 1825 Posts	Posted 09/19/2026 12:18 pm Happened to notice the reeding on this quarter has a crease which runs around the entirety of the quarter. Looks too consistent to be some random type of PMD. Imagine it could have gotten rolled across an edge of something. (Normal weight) Any thoughts? Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

I wonder if that "crease" was caused somehow by the upturning machine that puts the proto-rim on the planchets. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
