1951 Big Nickel Double Legend - Coin Community Forum

Whether it be master die doubling or struck with the second strike not lined up correctly I am uncertain. Enyaw Valued Member Canada 479 Posts	Posted Today 16M ago Thanks. I like the splitting on the E of Georgivs, it has pretty good separation. For those who want to look for the DDO it was produced at the Lombardo Mint (mint mark on obverse) and Canadian Artistic Dies (mintmark on the reverse). It is 22.55g, 39 millimeters in diameter and is "Nickel silver". All of the legend is doubled but the REX is minor. The Kings bust is not doubled. Report this Post to the Staff
