excentrix New Member United Kingdom 2 Posts	Posted 03/15/2010 02:47 am Hello. Some years ago I got given 2 50,000 russian ruble notes. As far as I am aware at the time they were worthless and they have spent all these years in an envelope in a draw, I was recently checking exchange rates before making an online purchase and I noticed russia as an exchange rate option. Are these notes still in use, and can I exchange them in the uk? If this is the wrong place to be asking this I appologise. Thanks Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

DL20K Pillar of the Community Poland 3201 Posts	Posted 03/15/2010 11:18 am I see this note is from 1995. There was a change in Russia's currency around 1997 and I would assume this note was withdrawn then. Thus, it will not be possible to exchange it abroad. We have denomination and 50K now as only 50 RUR. 1 GBP ~ 44,5303 RUR (on 5 may 2010) but you dont can make exchange you 50K RUR at 1995 (sorry for repeat :) - this bone not in use now).
