Hello Everyone

I'm sorta new at coin collecting and just signed up here. This past weekend I came across the new quarter "Hot Spring Arkansas" at a McDonald. First time I see one so I asked the cashier if I can get a few in change, she was great and not only gave me a few but also got a whole roll too. Well, this morning I was looking through the loose ones I got and notice one of the quarters had a "hallo" like perfect circle between the outer edge and the inner circle, right through the letters. This is my first error find, is it worth anything? Here is the pic. Oh, an by the way, the scratch must have happened before being stamped because the letter don't have the scratch/hallo mark. . . .

Unfortunately, you do not have an error. That is Rolling Machine Damage, the end of a roll get those nasty circular scratches sometimes.

Welcome to the forum! Nice picture!

Definitely keep looking and posting! It's a shame a brand new quarter like that is damaged already.

Haven't found any in change or rolls at the bank yet - congrats on the find, and on locating a helpful employee willing to give you the roll.
